Synesthesia also gives me a fun relationship with music, and I love to paint a song occasionally.

Lately my obsession with my name in RGB value and Mazarine Blue in general, Found me listening to Blue Monday by New Order while depressed a few weeks ago. I was encouraged to stay and paint how I felt. Keep Going.🎨

Do bands with Blue in the name all taste the same? Does Blue Öyster Cult taste like a full course meal? I would love to be able to try how different colors and things taste.

One of these days can I pick your brain on synesthesia?

I had a fun idea for an interactive series that explored the idea that we were all once synesthesthic but via evolution and it's creating technology to make our lives easier the majority of us lost that 6th sense.

I don't think this is true, but I wanted to play with the idea that you could use feelings and tastes and music to give colorblind people a chance at experiencing color.

(It was also an evil organization that was doing this so it comes with it's own caveats and things but yeah)

Sure, pick away.

Interesting idea but it would be difficult..my color taste if you will is not standard for the color. It is that way for most with synesthesia, an atypical association with colors crossed with another sense.

Lorde the musician has it, and to her it is sound related and she describes hers as torture which often times makes her quite ill. This is why I believe it is a mutation, and not always a beneficial one.

What makes me taste apples, for example, are pinkish purple hues, and reds evoke an almost muted clove like flavor.

I had a color blind boyfriend and we did some sexy food play with him blindfolded, and I fed him things that corresponded to colors he could not navigate. Gave him a cherry, an apple, and a red pepper and told him "this is red".

He appreciated the experiment but still didn't understand the concept of the physical color for red. Red became an experience for him after, attached to a flavor, so in a way I passed a little synisthesia onto him in the process.

We did it a lot. Lol

i absolutely love this. it's beautiful!
