well, yes. so more in the serious vein, i feel that the problem lies in… how soon say this…

the car manufacturing paradigm is laden with establishment greed and corruption. the problem with electric cars is that they are being pushed through that same system.

what i mean is. a gutted 1978 dodge colt with an electric motor and a LiFePo4 48v pack with a simple BMS and a direct potentiometer accelerator is a viable vehicle. is easy to repair and maintain, and can be charged in a couple hours with a panel array.

But the same greed Empire which prevented Tesla’s dream, now stand between us and the technology. And even have the gaul to name their closed establishment vehicles after him.

this is a nuanced and well thought out position

I think my position is now ... I don't want any of the current electric cars but I could see a future where an electric car makes sense

i got into battery tech early. and i know how easy it is to build them.

i run two self built packs as our primary power storage.

putting one in a light weight vehicle shell is not overly difficult. and with LiFePo4, not overly dangerous.

the problems are with corporate and government bureaucracy.

in every area of my life, where i have been experimenting with new technology to simplify and liberate, the ONE primary problem is ALWAYS greed and desire for power, operating through old political systems.
