If you plan to invest or trade in individual stock you need an a detailed plan that includes risk management and money management. If you’re ever “tweaking” it means you are probably over allocated and not following a risk management plan.

I’ve been doing good but this last quarter has been taking a pounding.

Everyone goes through periods of slumps the key is to make sure you can survive to stay in the game. Sometimes the best thing to do is liquidate and take a break when you’re more in tune with the market but you gotta figure that out yourself those books are all ready good resources though if you plan on doing it long term.

I reallocate when I think a stock will be less profitable than another one.

My problem is I don’t usually close positions, I tend to keep 1 share of stuff just in case.

Yea you need to constantly review what your winners and losers are so you can always improve. Markets are always changing so it requires constant reevaluation.
