Purchased a RockPro64 + NASCase kit.

I spent several hours looking at the Kobol Helios64 (same SoC) but because it is effectively EOL and the PINE64 community is quite active, I went with this NAS setup.

I was also recommended the Jensbo N-series of cases - those are siiiiiiiiiiick! Sadly, 2cm taller than what my space can take (the space between my ceiling and shelf is 19cm). So, this NASCase will squeeeeeeze-fit XD.

Now I have to figure out a way to transfer my RAID1 array; because Synology, in their "infinite wisdom" *cough* produced /dev/md[0-4] and there is no easy way to figure out if they are nested or not - and in terms of mount, they are mounted as /dev/vgX devices; so I have no freaking idea what is what... So, time to scan the whole RAID for it's size and figure out how big some individual parts are, then add a SSD cache drive (I have a 128 M.2 one in a 2.5 adapter enclosure - yes it is SATA-III) and I would still have one open slot... no idea what I will put there, though. Maybe another 4TB SSD, because why not. (:

Next up: Sidegrading from the NanoPi R6s to a Radxa Rock Pi 5 - RK3588, but with NVMe slot, and then stuff that up real good and drop all my coinage and stuff on there.

What will I do with the MicroSDs (64GB and 1TB respectively) though...? Might plug them into the NAS and use them as auxilary storage, or something, idk. xD
