In your opinion, which app has the BEST chat rendering on mobile? (starting to hate these bubbles)

Why not just go back to basics:

Hell yes I miss IRC! I used to be in there so much 😂

I still use weechat and bitlbee for xmpp 😁

I'd actually never used IRC, this is from an image search.

But I really like it too. For something like nostr, it seems like a great fit. Maximize utility.

The OG hashtags 😂

IRC is where I spent some of the funniest hours of my teenage years.

Matthew 6:

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

That is easy to read.

I love text only chat. Too much design makes it pretty to look at but also harder to follow.

iMessage 🙃

chat bubbles using colors per participant and indenting your chats to differentiate further your messages from the rest are the accepted most lked standard, being creative and looking for a new format seems challenging, more likely than not you will get push back.

OT: Would love to see preview note option before posting on Amethyst, wonder if that is in the plans...?

love bubbles, they make the chat flow easy to read, meta and google for sure spent thousands of hours testing and searching the most efficient solution for the users....

bubbles, you may hate them but it is the current accepted standard, very intuitive, I think that the best we can hope as users is that the chat is not only bubbles but an awesome look and visual appealing effects...

I enjoy telegram a lot, everything is very well made and all the features are perfectly laid out.
