I once spent atleast 10 mins of my life I will never get back googling what the hell a herfurd cow was....

Conclusion: #Americans can't pronounce #Hereford if they were being threatened with being trampled to death by a herd of Hereford cows in Hereford in Herefordshire.

In a bizzare twist of fate unlike Worcester(Wooster) or Leicester(Lester) it's actually pronounced in a similar manner to how you spell it!

It's He-re-ford just dont pronounce it like "he" it's a short vowel sound. So it's kind of like hairyford but not really. Just go to Hereford Wikipedia page and press the button and have your mind blown 🤯

I am on the border of glauw chester shire in wor chester shire near war Wick shire not too far from herfurd shire. This isn't really an issue elsewhere in the country perhaps it's the cider? 😉
