Logan's Run. Classic 🍿

Nah. Speak up

People dont like the truth

I remember thisTV series very well and the message is still very pertinent to this day, maybe even more so.

'The allegory behind the "Logan's Run" TV series is a critique of societal control and the fear of aging, wrapped in a dystopian narrative. The series presents a future society where people are "renewed" (a euphemism for euthanized) at the age of 30 to maintain a balance in population and resources. This concept serves as a metaphor for the control mechanisms imposed by governments or institutions to manage societal issues.

The allegory explores themes of individual freedom versus societal control, questioning the ethics of sacrificing personal autonomy for the perceived greater good. It suggests that in the pursuit of stability, societies may impose drastic measures that ultimately suppress human potential and natural life cycles.

Furthermore, the series delves into the idea of rebellion against oppressive systems, as Logan and other "runners" seek to escape their predetermined fate. This allegory of resistance highlights the human instinct to fight for survival and the desire to live beyond the constraints imposed by authoritarian regimes.

In essence, "Logan's Run" serves as a cautionary tale about the potential consequences of extreme population control measures and the importance of preserving individual rights and freedoms in the face of societal pressures.'

One of my fav movies.

Absolutely. It wasn’t good enough to warn others in a dystopian 1970s flick.

YOU HAD TO SHOUT IT!!!
