Been less active here for the last couple of days.

Got addicted to a code learning environment called Mimo, and have been studying HTML/CSS there for 2-3 hours a day.

Might seem like nothing to experienced devs here, but it’s a huge step for me πŸ’œ

shoutout to nostr:npub1jk9h2jsa8hjmtm9qlcca942473gnyhuynz5rmgve0dlu6hpeazxqc3lqz7 for recommending it to me πŸ‘πŸ§‘

I would love to be able to code 🫢🏽πŸ₯Ή so enjoy

You absolutely can β€οΈπŸ€—

I’ve had this huge mental wall and block between coding and myself, that I’ve mentally built in my head.

It started with adjusting my identity, that instead of wishing and thinking that I never could, to actually thinking that I totally can πŸ’œ

This daily studying habit that I’ve started will start confirming that identity to me, and it’ll be part of me in no time πŸ™

You said that so beautifully πŸ™πŸ½πŸ«ΆπŸ½ Creating a new me that can learn to code. I like that πŸ₯°

You absolutely can πŸ’œ

There’s a lot of free stuff you can do there already. I got myself the monthly plan for now, just to give it a go for a month, and see how I like it πŸ‘

Maybe I should just do that. Take some time for it every day and then get started.

Absolutely πŸ’œ Takes a bit of self-reflecting to find out what you are more excited about creating.

Is it websites, applications/programs or something else.

That’ll help you understand which language might interest you more πŸ€—

Websites and Apps. Something creative.

There’s a Web Development path on Miro, which I’m currently doing πŸ’œ

I think you’ll like that a lot πŸ™

I even have ideas already

Perfect, make sure to write them down πŸ’œ

You will laugh, I have already sketched out my ideas 🫣

I think you’d like Figma πŸ‘€πŸ’œ

I will look into it

πŸ™πŸΎ

Thanks for encouraging me

The easiest way to #LearnProgramming is to stop thinking about it & just do it.

Download #VSCodium, install recommended extensions & try to write stuff. If you do something incorrectly, the extension will tell you.

Rinse & repeat. :)

Great recommendation there, thank you ser πŸ’œ

πŸ™πŸΎ

πŸ’―

sounds great πŸ§‘β€πŸ’»

Thank you brother πŸ’œ

it's great how you work on your skills

This is all thanks to Nostr πŸ’œ

i am looking forward to see your first page design

So am I πŸ‘€πŸ’œ

because of nostr i also started tinkering again πŸ’œ

#nostr is an amazing place 🫢🏽

exactly πŸ«‚ there are so many people here who create value in their one way

πŸ«‚

Glad to hear! Always though no nostr more then is healthy my fren πŸ’œπŸ«‚ Learning is one of the best usages of your time!

Thank you brother, amazing people, such as yourself, have inspired me to be more curious and push the limits that I have set for myself πŸ’œπŸ€—

Looking forward to using you code πŸ‘€

That’ll take some time, but absolutelyπŸ‘€πŸ’œ

Going head first into web development right now, as it’s something that interests me the most. Will leave back-end for a bit later, so it can add to the thing that I like the most πŸ‘

Great job!

Keep going!

Practice is everything. Especially when learning to program.

The fool who persists in his folly will become wise.

That’s incredibly well put, thank you so much for the kind words buddy πŸ’œπŸ€—

Mimo is very cool.

The best environment I’ve used so far πŸ’œπŸ™

Going to complete the programs on there, and will then move onto The Odin Project, which doesn’t hold my hand as much and pushes me more to the actual day-to-day way of programming

hmmmm, interesting stuff for a cool god! just make sure not to get stuck in basic html/css cause there are a lot of brand new frameworks that make your life easier! plain css is a headache!

Learning Javacript, SQL and React is part of the Web Development path on the site. πŸ’œ

My plan is to not only learn those, but move onto TypeScript and Svelte later

Channel the time to productivity. πŸ€™πŸ»

This is the way.

Been doing ~14 hours of Nostr a day for 6 months straight, felt like it was time to step away a bit and channel that energy elsewhere, so I could come back stronger πŸ’œ

Finding your passion is one of the most important parts of life.

There is nothing like passionate learning. Your ability to absorb will be taken to the next level.

Kick ass brother. πŸ€™πŸ»

Whatever it takes to make Nostr a better place.

Let’s build a better future for us and our kids πŸ’œ

Thank you so much for the kind words πŸ‘β€οΈ

there’s so much cool stuff to build and not enough builders, and so now the old users are trying to become new builders

🫑

Nostr will always be my hometown.

Sometimes you have to step away for a bit, to experience and new learn things, so you could come back and teach others and make your hometown better.

πŸ’œ

the hero's journey…

The Hero with a Thousand Profile Pictures

This is how I expect your setup to look like now that you’ve been learning code for a couple days

Someone photoshop this on one of the monitors.

oh god, this reminds of this Python uni class i took πŸ€£πŸ’œ

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

You’re goddamn right! 🫑
