As someome very focused on bringing non-Bitcoin communities here, I do think there's room for both.
Primal has done a great job, for example, marketing themselves as a "social wallet" and I think they are a good way to onboard people who are interested in crypto.
But at nostr:nprofile1qydhwumn8ghj76r9de5x7atnv5h8xmmrd9skctmjv4kxz7gqypup59f8q40hfs0hqgc0zquyvzdng4y032m2pfk25aqztqnlnldw2ysr5rp, for example, we hardly bring this up except as one thing in a list of features. We primarily focus on building your community free from big tech censorship, aiming to appeal to different communities besides the Bitcoin community. nostr:nprofile1qydhwumn8ghj76r9de5x7atnv5h8xmmrd9skctmjv4kxz7gqyq8j9srw4sgqy6zwlnrg7459gr5rgtgkp82s30x5xykq8rnpjnutv5m7jc7 is another that does this really well!
That's one of the awesome things about Nostr, we can each play to our strengths to attract different groups of people. I think it's going to take all of these approaches to win, and I'm glad there are people covering all sides!
