No one is forcing you to do anything.
If you’re having problems redeeming ZEUS Pay payments make sure you have at least 1% of inbound preserved.
You can probably resolve this by sending some of your Lightning funds out to another wallet before redeeming.
In v0.11 you’ll be able to switch to a Cashu based Lightning address that doesn’t have liquidity constraints.
I still use Zeus and for the most part I love it..how do I connect it to amethyst though?

Put the Lightning address in your profile. One tap zaps are not supported w the embedded node
