Amen brotha. My grandfather was a WW2 vet and Memorial Day was always the most important holiday of the year for him. Didn’t tell anyone stories until he was in his 70s, and then told them to me only. They took wars being horrendous very seriously. He felt I was the only one in the family that truly appreciated that.
