I just did a twitter post last week that was viewed 200k times in a couple of days on how I came to Bitcoin from a traditional background in finance.

Not one single person I know that read it, and was not into Bitcoin, asked me a question about it.

I’m not sure what to make of it to be honest. The concerning part for me is how much I feel like people are never going to get it but find solace and numbers in hating Bitcoiners forever.

If you think about the ego hill they have to climb over at 200 or 500k for their first purchase, they’re not ever going to forgive you for trying to help or get over an envy or whatever that feeling is gonna feel like.

Hopefully the feeling of having a savings technology work for them for first time ever makes them think less and less about how many Bitcoin certain people have. And hopefully Bitcoiners do something great with their wealth to show how good the next wave of capital allocators can be.

That could be a fun World to be in.

Life lesson that we tend to learn late. The people you are friends or family with don't think as much of you as you night think they do.

Advertising to strangers usually brings more business than your citcle of influence, but you must market to both.

Fax 📠 most people overestimate how much time others think of them. Myself included. It’s human nature.

I often hear musicians say "you can't become a rock star in your home town" they all know that time you you shit the bed at summer camp ha...

Outta my entire family - 3 people understand BTC on a decent level.

The rest of them just blindly trusted me with their money and yes they mad life changing gains but yesterday one of them decided to cash her BTC to get involved in Meme coins because someone has conned her into thinking she can retire within a few weeks…

Everyone gets BTC at the price they deserve and they also learn that selling it for bullshit ends up costing you more in the future 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

nostr:npub153xmex42x4chdf757hp3q6zxagykkek7pdgwuwd074964dkyha9s82ryu8 - thanks for the ZAPS! We’ll keep them for the poor old lady who is gonna get rugged 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

See, I understand your point and it's disappointing from close family and friends... But I really try and step back and look at how the last four years have played out, especially COVID.

The switch happens when someone prominent, and when the propaganda machine TELLS everyone to buy it. Then you're stupid if you don't buy it.

The majority of this world is NPCs. They have to be TOLD who to hate, what to invest in, which country deserves support, what race is being marginalized, what sexual orientation is under represented, etc.

The good thing is, Bitcoin will allow more people to wake up as it's continually adopted. It's not 100% but it allows people the freedom to choose. The sad realization is there's a lot of people today that will choose to outsource their thinking.
