I would prefer the per use subscription model. Want to use public roads, pay per mile. Need to use public schools, pay for your kids. In fact if parents actually had to pay for their kids they would be involved and expect them to make good grades and learn. Want police protection, buy the subscription. To keep costs down people will start policing themselves and neighborhoods. Don’t want government and want private instead, pay for it and pay nothing to government.
