Nostr Web Client

I’m having trouble understanding this NIP-05 thing. I’m on Damus, and I don’t see a checkmark next to anyone’s name, other than the dude with a checkmark when I follow them. If I type nostrplebs.com into the search bar, nothing comes up. The only thing the search bar does is let me search for usernames. Is there something I’m missing?

I don't use Damus, but I've seen screenshots of people that have bought a nostrplebs.com ID with a tiny checkmark next to a shadowy silhouette image to the right of their name.
