20+ years as a network engineer and I am truly baffled by openwrt. Things are almost right but not quite and there are a bunch of random gotchas.

I haven't played with OPNsense.

I just have a beryl ax that I want to use as a wifi AP with 1 VLAN for management and then each SSID on a separate VLAN to isolate them.

Seems simple to me but I am struggling to wrap my head around the guides.
