This is the Big Lie that the US keeps pushing, that Russia launched the SMO for the sake of territorial expansion. The SMO was launched to defend ethnic #Russians and to counter #NATO expansion into #Ukraine. NATO expansion would have created a nuclear threat practically on #Moscow's doorstep.
