My thoughts on this:

No delete option means you have to think before you post. It’s a lesson in taking responsibility for your actions. No one is forcing you to press *post*.

This will (I hope) be a deterrent to influencers, scammers, racists, and other bad actors who like to hide behind the *delete* button.

Also, I don’t know how long relays keep old posts. It’s my understanding, and maybe someone will correct me if I’m wrong, that they will purge them over time to save space.

What I expect to see is a preview option where you can check your formatting and spelling. And if you do make a typo, no big deal. We’re all doing that together.

people need to be aware of the potential that they may not be able to delete but they also need to be able to speak their mind. hopefully we get advancements in reputation systems that drive more anon/nym adoption.

It’s called ownership of your words. Think before you type. Apologize using a quote note if you realize your wrong. Bring decency back to humanity.
