The whole time Israel and the US, among others, were sabotaging the Iranian nuclear program, e.g. with stuxnet. Of course it languished at "1-3 years away" for years.
Iran finally got an edge and started making good progress. So Israel decided to put an end to that.
Maybe. But more likely this is a USA vs China proxy war to dominate trade routes in the Middle East. Remember to enjoy the perpetuation of the petrodollar after we blast a bunch of people abroad. 🫠
A lot of nuclear scientists disappeared one way or the other in that timeline, all kinds of sabotage.
But what I want to say right now is that I understand why the Iranian regime needs a nuke, after the Budapest Memorandum became a simple piece of paper. And a lot of other countries will choose nuclear weapons very soon, I assume that in Europe there are many old plans that are getting a review right now.
But maybe Iran should be left alone. The Saudis will get it next. And so on.
