It's totally true and if you try to talk to them about getting off some of those pills the answer I have heard is "I can't or I will die" and then if you say something along the lines of "well if you don't get off all those pills, the pills will kill you" I am generally told "that's absurd" "you have know idea what you talking about" or my personal favorite "if they were harmful my doctor would prescribe them to me"
