Unfortunately Bitcoin requires internet. Machankura also needs internet on their systems to interact with Bitcoin.
Nostr could help reduce Bitcoin's reliance on TCP-IP though - and your reliance also...
* Your server can lose access to it's domain or it's IP address, but your npub can't be censored.
* You can self host a nostr relay behind a static IP (paid in Bitcoin) from a VPN provider.
* You can use TollGates to reduce your reliance on ISPs: https://github.com/chGoodchild/GLTollGate
How do those TollGates reduce reliance on ISPs?
I've never heard about it before.
If you have a contract with an ISP, you sell your neighbor access to your internet connection. Your neighbor can resell this access to his neighbor who is too far to access your WiFi directly. Now three neighbors are sharing the cost of one internet connection.
If your fiat internet contract stops because the ISP has issues or they don't like you, you can start using a neighbors connection instead.
They have to block everyone if they want to block you. Blocking everyone is much costlier and much harder. Together you guys have the purchasing power to build your own infrastructure

This is a great example of the kind of self sovereign infrastructure that individuals can buy for themselves.
Bring Bitcoin + free markets into the picture and people can get fast internet connections over modern/digital comms equipment. Switched networks are less self sovereign, but free markets are a force to be reckoned with...
