I’m definitely more likely to engage with a quoted note than a repost.

Often, this is because a “repost-worthy” note has been reposted already by one or more people that I follow, because it’s still such a small community here. So I’ve usually seen the reposted note already, and would engage with the OP if anything.

I repost notes to increase their visibility while giving credit to the author. I quote post if I want to add something of my own to the content.
