I hear you loud and clear, but my introduction was more so just to get people to say hello to her so she can simply see how comments look here, where to respond, what zaps look like … just for her page to get some activity 🤷‍♀️ trust me it’s not as smooth as IG so it takes some getting used to and getting many comments is a good way to feel it out.

Since I onboard her I wanted to help myself in a way and make it easier for me to show her where everything is. I think I’ll meet up with her in a few days if we manage to organize out travels to link up in the same city and I’ll be able to finish showing her around on #Damus.

You are a fun one on here! I love when we can banter back and forth and there are not crazy emotions involved just thoughts / opinions that we either agree to disagree on but it was interesting to see the other persons perspective or we agree on one part of the conversation or the other.

Great thread. Respect is earned, especially here where we constantly talk about proof of work with respect to the curation of our content and social graph. Nobody deserves to just show up and be treated like they’re special. Even more so if they’re making a killing just by posting glamour shots of themselves in exotic places. Want to impress the Nostriches? Contribute value to the conversation and add to the network effect. And maybe spend some of that sweet, sweet influencer cash zapping the plebs.

😂😂😂😂 omg lol im so sorry, I can only imagine this fear because even when I see a girls profile that’s anonymous I ask my self, “Am I DMing with some dude in his moms basement just wanting to chat with me at 2am or is this a real girl with real questions that is looking for real answers?”

Maybe someday ill dox myself, but for now my goal here is not to gain followers or get guys to care more about me because I’m a girl 🤷‍♀️

It’s my 1st time being anonymous online and it’s kind of cool, but I did it for safety reasons. I experienced a very distressing situation with a stalker who broke into my house, I was just giving away too much information. Lesson learned

But I feel you because even anonymous girls have the same thought about other anonymous girls 😂 🙏

All jokes aside it’s a work in progress. All of my friends do their own social media (no managers; it’s 100% authenticity them), so that means they need to find a rhythm with it. I’m not sure how familiar you are with IG, but coming here from there is not “smooth”. Not everything works the way we are used to it working so that’s one “issue”.

The second is that it’s fashion week so we are all crazy busy and everyone’s phone is constantly on 1%.

Third thing is that today we celebrated the birthday of Mimi’s son and a quite a few of the girls are also having birthdays this month + next month, so we are all traveling for everyone’s birthday parties.

Of course the “Prove it, prove it” post is not up anymore. IG stories only last for 24hours. As for them bringing followers, it takes time for me to convince them that Nostr is “safe” and if one of their followers sees the IG story then happens to sign up with one of the Nostr clients (I know one of Julia’s followers joined just from seeing her IG “Prove it, prove it” story) that nothing dangers will happen to them.

The girls all feel quite responsible for their followers and they don’t want to invite them here if it turns out to be something crazy. Maybe to you Nostr has been around and is cool, but for normies that don’t read tech news and are not on twitter, they have literally NEVER heard of it.

Also I’m not sure if you know, but normies think “tech stuff” is either SBF (scammer risks) because he was all over the news it’s just fresh on their minds, hackers (they don’t even know the difference between white hat and black hat), or Steve Jobs (RIP 🙏), like there is really no in-between.

Don’t give me such a hard time, lol what if you end up falling in love and marring one of my girlfriends that I bring here? You will then have tell me sorry and thank you at the same time 😅. I’m really doing the ground work here, some of the girls are already married with children, but the single ones will be great HODL wives in the future 🤝 practice your #LowTimePreference skills 😜. Once the girls get a feel for Nostr I’m sure they will feel safe telling their followers to come, but it’s not an overnight thing.

She’s not a model any more than Kylie Jenner is a model. I wouldn’t recommend IG influencers as girlfriends either, there seems to be a disproportionately high rate of ‘fucking around and finding out’ amongst this group.

1. Twas a joke.

2. I’m not a model. I would rather be a janitor for the CIA than degrade myself that way. I perceive my worth as a woman to be too high to use my face and body for promoting purchases.

3. I have known many fashion models, some signed to agencies such as IMG and Wilhelmina LA, as well as non-models who call themselves models bc they post FaceTuned, classless pictures on IG and think they look attractive.

These girls all have a defining set of characteristics that I won’t mention to avoid causing offense. This is partially what my previous comment was playing on, however non-serious it was.
