Your original question listed a few countries, not just China, and my response was a general one. Secondly, my statement clearly says "struggle for food" not starvation.

People are more focused on the daily necessities of life, working so they can buy food as an example. You then also discount my second point, the risks. Social consequences, jail or the death are punishments in some of these countries for being found using apps that are not sanctioned. This would also reduce their use.

While I agree with your question that Nostr would be good for oppressed peoples, I simply state my two points as reasons why it is currently not used.

My feeling is no answer will satisfy you and you're just after an argument. I'll ask you then, can you outline better reasons for its slow uptake in these nations?

Look, you made a moronic statement and I called you on it. And I would be embarrassed too, if I had said that. But now you double down and say even more nonsense - only to end with some tripe that there’s no answer I would accept. Which is more BS. In fact, you just now did touch on the truth which is that the penalties for using such tech are harsh. So..I know that deep down in your Neanderthal sub-conscious mind - you know the truth, but for some reason you just cannot handle it. Anyhow… if you think that all the people (or even the masses) in these countries are all still living in the 1940’s, then you’re a god-dammed brainwashed moron. But that doesn’t bother me because moron’s abound, but damn… do you gotta be such a sensitive cupcake too? Toughen up and you might learn sumthin’
