On Sunday afternoon, the two-year-old boy who lives two houses down from me unlocked his patio door, wandered out onto the pool deck, & fell into the water.

Home security camera footage shows he was in the pool for just over four minutes before being discovered by his mother. In a frantic effort to save his son, my neighbor immediately began resuscitation while waiting for paramedics to arrive.

Somehow, by the grace of God, the boy survived without injury. He just walked by my home with his mom. I was so happy this see this that I teared up.

I share this as a reminder that… drowning is the #1 cause of unintentional injury & death for children aged 1-4 years old.
