In response Jerome Powell and The FED raising interest rates, I am reminded of a quote from The Bitcoin Standard:

“Austrian economist, Eugen von Böhm-Bawerk, even argued that the interest rate in a nation reflected its cultural level: the higher a people’s intelligence and moral strength, the more they save and the lower the rate of interest.”
