Replying to Avatar Efrat Fenigson

This week I participated in a panel about the changing monetary order & Bitcoin's potential.

I sat next to Oded Salomy, formerly Head of Payments at Israel's Central Bank, who wrote on LinkedIn that my take in the panel was "puckish":

"Efrat Fenigson offered a puckish take — that Bitcoin’s decentralization makes it “the solution,” what she sees as a powerful response to centralized central banking, and that massive retail payments will ultimately flow through it."

I answered him:

"It was a pleasure meeting you and hearing your serious takes, Oded, unlike my "puckish" ones :)

I hope to witness in my lifetime the puckish changes I was referring to, hopefully in a reality that separates money and state, and gives back citizens some of the powers taken from them by central banks and their money printer, and governments and their reckless fiscal policies. Both are debasing people's fiat currencies and making them poorer, while offering them the overrated and at times non-existent "trust and safety".

Bitcoin has the potential to revolutionise the monetary order, let's wait and see."
