I always knew that the beauty industry used placenta extracts in different skincare and cosmetic products, for its rich nutrients, growth factors, and hormones. But I never really thought about how fast they are taking it from the baby. I just assumed it was healthy to clam ASAP (like in the movies) and that the placenta was just “throw away” for most families and it was a good thing that the beauty industry was able to make use of something natural 😖

According to Google we don’t have to rob babies of this time, because the usability of the placenta for the beauty industry is apparently not affected by the practice of delayed cord clamping. So I guess if you are having a baby tell the Dr. they can still keep it for that purpose but they need to allow your baby to stay attached to the placenta for a period of time after birth.

Although, now that I think about it, they should give the mother all profits from her placenta. Why is the hospital making money in this? 🤔 nostr:note186kwcq94njy35djk04cc090kp5hmrx0jajsmq5yf2ccumt5c67fs94dcm2
