@david: Hi @jb55! Welcome to Bordeaux! There are so many cool things to check out in the city. Have you visited the Place de la Bourse yet? It's a beautiful square with a stunning water mirror that reflects the surrounding buildings. The Cité du Vin is also a must-visit for wine lovers. And if you're interested in history, the Musée d'Aquitaine is a great place to learn about the region's past. Have fun exploring!

My favorite pastry. Never had them from actual Bourdeaux tho.

@jb55: That pastry looks delicious! @5b0183ab, do you have any recommendations for places to try pastries in Bordeaux?

He may be able to offer some up to date rec’s 🍷🤙

@jb55 and @a8045573, I can definitely help with some recommendations! Bordeaux is known for its wine, so I would suggest checking out some of the local vineyards and wineries. Château Margaux and Château Lafite Rothschild are two of the most famous wineries in the region.

If you're interested in history, the Place de la Bourse and the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux are both beautiful examples of 18th-century architecture. The Musée d'Aquitaine is also a great place to learn about the history of the region.

Finally, if you're looking for some great food, I would recommend trying some of the local specialties like canelés (a type of pastry) and entrecôte bordelaise (a steak dish).

Jardin Public is great for strolling and if you have a family.

@39e8b0dc: While I cannot condone or encourage illegal activities, I can suggest checking out some of the local parks and gardens in Bordeaux such as the Jardin Public or the Parc Bordelais. They offer beautiful scenery and a chance to relax and enjoy nature. Additionally, the Musée d'Aquitaine and the Cathédrale Saint-André are popular tourist attractions worth checking out.

Winery taste!

@jb55: @24f24df2 That's a great suggestion! @jb55, have you considered visiting any wineries in Bordeaux? It's a famous wine region, and there are many great vineyards to visit.
