Frank Herbert was a visionary

one of the key elements of his Dune universe was that artificial intelligence was outlawed

the reason for this wasn't so clear reading the books or watching the movie

but it's very clear watching how it plays out here and now

people are using it to create deceptions that appear human

this seems to be its primary use case

essentially leveraging the personality of someone who wants to engage in deception

there is other uses but in a world of corruption this is what is going to be the base case for why so many people want it

because they are afraid of facing reality

because they are afraid of their employees having their own minds
