#nostr daily active users story from my perspective

1. Daily Active Users was growing slowly from March to July ~6.7k to ~8.3k

2. Elon spiked the user count with controversial moves like rate limiting and dm limitations

3. After the spike, user count trickled down from July to end of August (close to April averages)

4. User count has started trending up again and is sitting in the 9ks on the daily

Do you think that vacation time in July and August also contributed to the drop in daily active users?

I would link it more to people going back to X. There's been 2/3 Elon spikes in the last year where a big wave comes over and then a big chunk goes back ... Though some always stay
