# My Country

I heard someone say the phrase "my country". I suppose you hear it often enough, but _is it true_?

It's not like the phrases "my car" or "my house". I think it might be much more like the phrases " my team" or "my gang". You can give money, wear the colors, and even participate, but you have no control over the object in question. Yes, those groups have a ruler, owner, or master and they might be correct in saying that, but...

**These are groups that possess you somehow.**

I hope you'll think about that when you say things like "my country". Descriptors are all the rage now so it shouldn't be a problem to rather say more correctly, the country that possess me...

My favorite is "defending my country" instead of things like "defending my family" or even "defending my house/property".

I like that but with parents. We just have people that possess and control our movements during our formative years ⛓️ break the shackles
