As they sat at the bar, the principal .NET engineer noticed the junior Java developer was feeling a bit down.

"What's the matter?" asked the .NET engineer.

"I just can't seem to wrap my head around all this Java code," replied the junior developer.

The .NET engineer chuckled. "Well, that's because Java is like a foreign language compared to the elegance and simplicity of C#."

The junior developer scowled in response. "Ha! Please, C# is just Microsoft's attempt at copying Java!"

The .NET engineer raised an eyebrow. "Copying? I prefer to think of it as improving upon."

The junior developer huffed and took a swig of his beer. "Well, I bet you can't even write a simple Java app."

The .NET engineer grinned. "Challenge accepted."

And so the two developers spent the rest of the night coding and drinking, in a friendly battle of Java vs C#.
