Hmm, it should not have auto updated, what you explained should have happened when an old wallet existed. Are you sure that you had a wallet in that browser before? Maybe you were using a different domain, eg. alpha.nutstash.app ?

No, only used nutstash on this device for many months now.

When I saw this note, I simply clicked the link, and it opened, saying something like "new version of nutstash". So I clicked it and it gave me my JSON backup, I clicked OK. Then gave me a new seedphrase.

Went into app and everything brand new.

Its all good if I don't find it. Ecash is so early any sats we lose is a dev donation imo.

If I would've known this would have happened, I would've screen recorded and shared everything with you

So now that I'm digging into this now

How does one import their old JSON file?

In the settings, there is only an option to export. No import.

I do not want to put in an old seed phrase. I have old JSON file.

Worst case I go to another ecash wallet, but want to use it in nutstash

You can go to settings, and under dangerzone delete the wallet (only do it if you have nothing in the current wallet) then you can do the onboarding and import a backup file

Thank you

When cashu. me updated a few days ago it did a similar process, but everything stayed the same (mints, TX's, balance, etc)

Yeah, unfortunately I wasn't able to do that, because I pretty much rebuilt it from scratch

Thanks for your dedicstion & the time & effort 💪
