nostr:npub1fgz3pungsr2quse0fpjuk4c5m8fuyqx2d6a3ddqc4ek92h6hf9ns0mjeck putting nevents in a reply completely breaks them. I don’t think notes have this issue…

Let me make sure I’m understanding the problem correctly:

you replied to nostr:note1m8yx6u92c3gylgz4flv6h8xlxxrwduhy8wgvpmh6ejvtyhwl434qxdkgnv and the reply was an nevent of the note you were replying to.

What do you see that is broken? I can see the nevent rendered correctly in 1.6 and master

I didn’t reply to the jaywalking one, i replied to

nostr:note1c3faa42qvw2ennspqqnmc57xk4g3a7v9d7994e8pgng9d65dfugse8gk5s

nevents are getting handled differently than note1 and im not sure why.

That nevent got mangled, I think I typo'd it.

I fixed it and replied with that nevent to your broken one, it should up as a reply to the nevent I fixed.

We have new nevent code so it is something broken in damus.

You replied to the post mentioned, but the reply was actually under the jaywalking post?? That’s not good

Using marked rather than legacy tags could help with this

Sorry, not trying to rub in the compatibility thing, but relying on tag ordering is error prone.
