With that said though Marie, I know you’ve hosted girls only spaces, and I think that’s great.
I’m not so sure about the hashtag though 🤣 if you start using that hashtag whenever someone is being trolled, it’s going to make it very easy for more trolls to find the content. It’s a bit like “troll centralization”.
I didn’t make up the hashtag it was suggested to use so others know to try and help the person in need, safety in numbers for females. And I don’t play the victim card, I can handle myself here, for others it’s not as easy and we should support each other after all isn’t that another reason Nostr is different from other platforms?

We do have a great community here, which we need to maintain and a big part of that includes making this a positive environment for others.
But with that said, I don’t support everyone here (including a few in this thread) and what really makes Nostr different is the ability for users to control their own experiences.
We do need better tools to curate who we interact with, but it’s ultimately up to us as individuals to choose who we interact with, jn what manner we interact with them, and how we react to the interaction.
I find it convenient to see who the trolls are. 🖕
I agree with you about the trolling aspect. These are impossible situations to navigate. All we can do is offer help and try and figure out someway to be alerted to the distress of another person.
I like the idea of “hashflag”. I keep thinking of something like a hashtag but somehow invisible to all but those who have been sent the Hashflag or something like that. I’d have to be smarter to have a really good solution.
The power of mute and ignore is still very strong. My first month here included a few nasty interactions, but I built a nice mute list and that helped.
Trolls are like leeches, they feed on the energy you give them. To kill a troll, you must ignore it and not let it affect you at all costs. Unfortunately, when big accounts leave and we have discussions like this, it energizes the trolls.
