This is why it’s so important to invest in physical media over streaming!
Any alternatives to Spotify?
Personally I listen music on cassettes. You can get a walkman thing for less than 30 bucks. One on Amazon has a USB c charging, fm am radio, and sd card for mp3.
Digitally, I'm not the guy to ask. But new podcast apps can play from music sources such as LNBeats, which has a bunch of artists that are active in nostr and bitcoin.
Then, there's also a "demu" tab there so you can filter to artists who are self hosting in a kind of more decentralized way.
And, you can just download the mp3s and save them on the SD card to play in the cassette player.
It's not as cool as napster or pirate bay though, because you are actually allowed to download the music 🤣
nostr:npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5 is a good start. It has podcast and the Value4Value music Bitpunk.fm described. You can save tracks, album and make playlists.
If you go to the search tab there is Fountain Radio and a Top Tracks list. All V4V and if you like what you're listening to you can send some sats and a message to the artist.
