Yeah that was annoying. When they started fear mongering about a "Brazilian variant" I went to Brazil and had a lovely vacation, except I had to that both ways. The Brazilian nurse who took my swab to come back tried to stab me in the brain, she was vicious about it, and she didn't like me.

In my home area though it wasn't so bad. Restaurants didn't do that, in fact we were one of the only areas where there was no mask mandate for a while, then when they tried to do a mask mandate no one complied. Maybe 1 out of 20 people wore a mask. The rest of us just shared knowing glances and lived our lives, and no one enforced anything.
