Ok so something had been bothering me for a while. What is wrong with generating your own seed phrase with only a few dices.

In my opinion physical randomness would be a high enough entropy to do the job.

Why can’t a few dices from board games of different material (wood, plastic, metal) and different shapes (big, small, round edges, used edges) thrown on different surfaces (marble, porcelain, concrete, wood, dirt) can’t be good enough and we need to use a off the shelf product with fancy technology to produce a good enough randomness?

Is it just me?

What is really, REALLY stupid is to use dices where the dots are drilled holes, I mean that should do something to that balance! ;-)

True, but even if 2 of your stack of dice are not totally balanced, as long as you don’t use them in the same order, what difference does it make?

theres been good videos on this... and my net recommendations are....

cheap dice is fine, you dont need casino dice.

you should probably check for dice bias, which plagues cheap dice, but is less of an issue if more weight (eg metal) and rolls well

regardless, when rolling, roll all your 6 siders at once and let entropy set the order you write them down in.
