I remember the early days of Pirate Bay, And avoided bitcoin because it was a felony, And buying drugs on the dark web was the only use case. I was on probation and I thought I would catch a fed case if I got into it. Then later in 2014, You still had to meet a guy in an alleyway and give him cash for a QR code, also to get money to spend on the dark web. Then later in 2017 coinbase launched and I bought my first time. I am glad there are the education resources that there are today. I just saw it as a means to an end for crime, Pretty cool, But shady. If I understood the monetary ideology behind bitcoin I would have just bought and held onto it in 2011, When the occupy protests were happening. But what can I say, I was 23 and pretty much a passionate idiot at the time. You live and grow wiser and more mature, And figure out what you need eventually, Or you don’t.
