Nobody tells you that most red dot sights are not robust enough to handle the recoil of a 12 gauge shotgun.

Don't cheap out if you need a reliable shotgun sight. Go for a high end Aimpoint Micro or similar quality.

Never seen sights on a 12 bore. Doesn’t it get in the way? Unless you’re not shooting small game?
