Can you point me to a good tutorial to get started running a mesh? I live on a sailboat and id like to take advantage of my 43' mast

Oh nice! I'd try a solar powered pole mounted relay. Here is a good tutorials for making one.

I have plenty of solar/power/experience with installing such things. Might need some direction what type of antenea to buy and software to use.
