1. Be polite, don't offend the person you're talking to right off the bat, they leave you behind and you end up shouting into the void.

2. Don't be closed to new technologies just because you don't understand them. It doesn't mean they are bad, it is likely they have an understanding or nuance you have yet to consider. Research the competition, find out what they are doing right, even if they are doing everything wrong.

3. Don't assume the other person is an idiot and you are a genius. Most people on here are far more intelligent and knowledgable than you or I. This is described extremely well by the famous Dunning-Kruger effect. Ask, don't tell.
