Replying to Avatar SURF⚡️

If you’re not on wifi apparently it uses insane amounts of data which can wreck you based on your data plan. Also heard it can slow performance but i havent noticed that with 20+…. Ymmv

I was experiencing slow performance then added a bunch of relays and feel it’s gotten slower

Yeah, i have no data to prove but lots have said the sweet spot is like between 8-15 relays maybe? Def gotta do some trial and error to find it

I’d pay for a relay if it came with some perks/benefits like speed/reliability

It does have benefits as you can filter in apps like amethyst that global messages only come from paid relays. I see it as a paid spam control
