From a perspective of a Radioengineer

I always tend to use 680kHz headphones over 2,4 GHz, devices but they seem to die out on the market, having longer waves they also had a bigger space , where you coud use them in.

I never had a paranoid point of view about Radio waves, but all these new standards use High frequency microwaves.

It depends all about how far you are away from microwaves, lets say the TX.

And how you use it, concrete houses for example shield very good, that is also why some phones do not work there.
