Declaring that someone needs money for work they didn’t do is acknowledging that one cannot provide for themself or their family. You have stripped them of all agency over their life and created an eternally resentful, bitter person that will never be satisfied with anything because they could not control their own life. They are now wholly dependent on the state, and you’ve destroyed their life. Just getting money does not solve anything if you didn’t earn it.

There are also moral and economic issues that make it completely untenable as well.
