The CTO of a startup whose offer I rejected due to their unprofessionalism is now texting me asking me to help him with “technical questions”.

The audacity on some people
the technical capabilities of the last CTO i had dealings with was appalling. most of the time i spent talking to her she was like "why are you not already finished" and then "what are you doing" and an hour later she's like "ahhh ok i get it now".
IMO, anyone who hires someone as CTO who hasn't had at least 10 years engineering is asking for trouble.
This CTO I’m talking about is a boy fresh out of mechanical engineering school. I have no idea who convinced him he’s fit to be the CTO of an embedded tech company.
i'd say he just said "ok" to the idiot that offered it. and i'm almost gonna bet money that it's friends or family in play. smells like nepotism to me.
It’s friends. Some engineering school friends who stumbled onto some money and somehow obtained a contract from the SNCF (think of it like the french national train company). Somehow.
If I permit myself, I’d wager that this a guy who never got a no his entire life.
spoilt brat. completely delusional about his capacities.
Now that I think of, the CEO of that startup kept reposting a photo of him and François Hollande on LinkedIn.
the former french president??
Yes exactly. As far as french presidents go, he’s not the most inaccessible, but still to be an acquaintance of the former president…
Honestly, that doesn’t bother me per se. What bothers me is their audacity to come ask me “technical questions” as if we’re on familiar terms.
Now he’s doubling down. “I would like the opinion of someone who’s experienced” thinking I’d give him free advice.
ick, good luck with ghosting this 🤡 oof i know that feeling
i mean, you know there's no way he's gonna give you a job paying you enough to actually tolerate his shit.

I am not paid to listen to this drivel.
You are a terminal boob."

So true.
I’m just gonna toy with him, and watch him turn in circles.
