My take … Miners need to make money and if nobody uses the blockchain for transactions, that’s an issue. Blockchain bloat per se is not an issue because if we don’t increase block sizes, and if we get more non-financial transactions on the blockchain, the only result is higher fees.

And higher fees are good, aren’t they ?
