Did you run the App from time to time as recommend before the forceclose?
How long did the forceclose run until you saw your funds onchain again?

Worked like this for you?
After a little research I think it should work like this:
- when you set up Phoenix you get a 12 Word seed
- with your first TX Phoenix will open a LN Channel to their ACINQ Node
- so your Smartphone becomes a LN Node
- if you or Phoenix close the channel you can for example use the BlueWallet onchain Wallet to see your funds onchain again (use your seed)
- while using Phoenix you should run the App from time to time (every day a short time is recommended I've read, but longer periods should work too)
I didn't try it by myself yet.
But the theory/research said it should work this way.
Yea I use it semi regularly, I just opened it one day and said channel was closing and showed a outgoing transaction pending. Checked a few days later by recovering in an onchain wallet and sats were there.
Ok ... Good to know 👍
Yea was pretty simple really just caught me off guard when it happened initially
All the sats recovered?
Phoenix "paid" the forceclose?
Sry for all the questions, just curious 😁
Phoenix doesn’t pay it’s just software all the sats we’re there minus tx fee for onchain tx
Hehe ... Yes, I asked the question a little complicated 😅.
I just wanted to know who paid the onchain tx, you or Phoenix (ACINQ).
Thx for answering all the questions. Always good to know how things work.
My plan is/was to open a channel to Phoenix when I got 300k in LN (but that will need a lot of time) - because they take 1% or min 3k Sats for opening a channel I think 300k is a good amount.
I like the recovery with the 12 word seed.
So it was very interesting to get all the informations from you and good that you got your Sats back 👍!
No worries, yea everything is paid from your balances, Phoenix just manages the channels automatically for you. I like it overall so far like having a lightning node on your mobile but you don’t have to manage channels and liquidity manually.
