I have to ask, are you particular to smokey? I’m interested in knowing what people accept as the ‘best’ Scottish whisky.

Personal preference. For me it’s the combination of the smoky and peaty taste - reminds me of the smell of fresh summer rain on soil in the tropics

That’s awesome: Your views on Scottish whisky are based on experiences in the tropics. Goes to show that taste is subjective on a whole other level.
