On Nostr, you'll still have to filter out a lot of Nazis and other far right bigots that are too far gone for an intellectual exchange, but it's possible.

I guess I’ve kept my nostr circle a bit tighter and don’t go on universal, so haven’t seen it much
You curate your own follows list to your own desires here. Can't blame a centralized algorithm or anyone else but yourself if your feed sucks.
